Khwaja Mir Dard was born in 1721 and died in 1785. He is one of the three famous poets from the Delhi School, the other two being Mir Taqi Mir and Sauda. Khwaja Mir Dard inherited his spiritual temperament from his father, Khwaja Mohammad Nasir Andlib, who was a spiritual saint and a poet.
